This FWO‑funded project brings together expertise in computational modelling, clinical oncology, radiation treatment planning, and medical imaging to develop new methods for improving radiotherapy safety in prostate cancer patients. The work is carried out in a collaboration between Ghent University (UGent) and Ghent University Hospital (UZ Gent) and aims to support the earlier identification of individuals at higher risk for radiation‑related side effects, so that treatment can be adapted in a more personalized way.
